Crisp

I love to do print and pattern. Because I don't have a section on my web site that features this part of my work, I decided I would start featuring some on my blog. Don't you think it would make great stationery and gift wrap! I have lots and lots of patterns available for licensing. Call me!

Midsummer

It's midsummer in Minnesota and the weather is HOT! Outside my studio window the blooms in the lovely large bowl are very mature. I love the combination and wanted to share what it looks like now. The photo is deceptive. If you see it in person you'll realize how large the bowl is. It's about 38 inches across. Still no moss has grown on the outside. I like the shape so well that it doesn't bother me. Eventually, I'm sure the moss will grow.

My Space

No, not some kind of internet spot telling the world about my why and what-for. This is MY SPACE. A room where the decorating, the content and how I spend my time is all up to me. I hope all of you have a spot like this. The space has evolved since moving here 5 years ago. I finally feel like it is a spot where I can be creative. It's a little sanctuary and a place I love to be. When we first moved in, I was longing for my old studio, a 10 x 16' room with windows all around and a heated wood floor. I am not longing anymore. We recently added heat to the floor here, tore up the mauve carpet and laid down beautiful wood. I'll no longer have to put on the mittens with the fingers cut out and don a heavy sweater to work down here during the Minnesota winter. I have a view of a lovely garden, good music, my books, my toy box and plenty of ideas to get on paper...or whatever kind of material I happen to choose from my new cabinet! Happy creating!

Someone Special

This baby loves Grandma and Grandma LOVES her! Two months old smiling and trying to speak. Am I prejudiced or is this the CUTEST baby in the world!
