Day Two of Favorites

Day Two of my favorites! Today features the MN Landscape Arboretum. It is a favorite destination and contains two of my favorite things...many interesting pergola structures and the beautiful Japanese Maple.

Day One of Favorites

I am starting a week of posting some of my favorites things. The first (and they are not in order) is wine that I was introduced to by my sister-in-law, Pam. Of the two my favorite is Herding Cats. I usually find the labels of wine more to my liking than what's inside. I am really a beer drinker but these are really good. If you find Herding Cats in Minneapolis area let me know...it's kind of hard to find. Cheers! LT

Delphinium

Sadly, it's nearly time to put the garden to bed. I can't resist posting this picture of the Delphinium...blooming again. I love this flower and sure hope it winters OK. I am a novice gardener. Any tips will be gladly accepted. I scored some great plants from the neighbor today. She even had some lavender, which I am told is not Zone 4. We'll see if I have the magic touch. I continue to be reminded what I am supposed to be doing while gazing out my studio window.

A Mothers Promise

www.barackobama.com/tv
(Sorry, I don't know how to make it a live link...you'll have to cut and paste)
Go to this link and watch the video. This is why I'm voting for Barack Obama in November. He has always been aware of those less fortunate and those in need of someone to stand up for them. He's dedicated to fighting for causes that affect the everyday person. He has always stood for good values, honesty, respect and kindness. Barack Obama can get the job done. Hope is on the way.

Green Treasure

Good news. We have moss! I was watering yesterday and discovered the green treasure. To view the newly planted moss pot see the previous post. I love Fall but I have to admit I am not quite ready to let the summer pass.

Siblings

I was just doing a little cleaning and came across some of Riley's drawings from the first grade. Apparently growing up at our home provided more challenges than I remembered.

I should add, these drawings were done when Riley, my daughter, was in first grade. She's 33 now, with a first grader of her own. Enjoy your own memories of your kids!
